Project Description:
The TANF case management project provides services to individuals at-risk for alcohol abuse in underserved areas in an effort to reduce the number of alcohol exposed pregnancies. These services are not provided in other TANF locations across the state. The support specialist with the TANF case management project works with individuals in the following areas: social support, family functioning, general well-being/self-efficacy, general mental health, and substance abuse in order to reduce their dependency risk factors and encourage abstaining from alcohol during pregnancy.
