Individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities engage in challenging behaviors disproportionally higher compared to neurotypical individuals (Newcomb & Hagopian., 2018). Medical Necessity and Health Plan Guidelines. Relevance to Diagnosis, Risk of Harm and Exclusion. Many existing assessments focus on topography, subjective frequency, and subjective severity (Reyes- Martin et al., 2022). These measures may be insufficient when justifying services.
