ASHA: Centering Lived Experience: A Panel of AAC Users on the Future of AAC
Product Description:
AAC users bring lived expertise that is essential for designing inclusive, person-centered communication supports. Yet their perspectives are too often absent from assessment, system selection, and partner-training processes. This panel amplifies AAC user voices as they reflect on experiences with assessment, services, AAC systems, and communication partners. The session highlighted the ethical and clinical importance of embedding user voice at every stage of AAC service delivery.
