Product Description:

Because diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood, child care providers/teachers must be familiar with its signs, symptoms, and treatment. Growth, unpredictable changes in activity levels, irregular eating habits, and medication dosage and administration challenge the successful management of the child with diabetes. Equipped with knowledge of the condition, the teacher is better prepared to respond to emergencies and is also in a unique position to help the child learn to accept their lifestyle and lead a well-adjusted life.
