Becoming Trauma Informed and Responsive
Product Description:
When we are not trauma informed, whether primary or secondary, we can inadvertently contribute to perpetuating harm, triggering past trauma, even shaming or blaming people for the result of trauma. When we are trauma informed we are better equipped to meet needs and assist people in their own journey. We know how trauma effects the brain. We may not realize secondary trauma can do the same.
TOXIC STRESS results from the brain having insufficient opportunity to restore baseline arousal level.
