• 40%-70% of autistic children exhibit clinically significant anxiety symptoms. • Autistic children's anxiety has been shown to have a significant impact on their well-being, and anxiety symptoms tend to persist over time without treatment. • Anxiety can be difficult to identify in autistic children because common assessment measures are often less useful. • Parents are uniquely equipped to identify patterns of behavior that may be associated with anxiety.
