The article details the adaptation of a safety planning intervention to enhance connectedness and reduce distress among Diné (Navajo) adolescents and adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing the pandemic's exacerbation of mental health challenges, the authors modified existing safety planning strategies to align with Diné cultural values and community needs. This culturally tailored approach aimed to address increased feelings of isolation and stress.
