This case study examines the journey of Mathias, a 9-year-old Diné (Navajo) boy diagnosed with Treacher Collins Syndrome, highlighting the crucial role of non-discrimination practices and services mandated under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in supporting his development within his cultural context. It also highlights the experiences of this Navajo family as they navigated both IDEA Part B and C services.
