After a decade of visionary leadership, Dr. Susan Fox announced her retirement as President & CEO of the Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD). After an exhaustive national search, the Board of Directors of WIHD is pleased to announce that Dr. Tricia Patrick has been named as WIHD’s next President & CEO.
VALHALLA, NY (June 2026) --- After a decade of visionary leadership, Dr. Susan Fox announced her retirement as President & CEO of the Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD). After an exhaustive national search, the Board of Directors of WIHD is pleased to announce that Dr. Tricia Patrick has been named as WIHD’s next President & CEO.
Dr. Patrick is a highly accomplished public health leader and academic with more than two decades of experience in epidemiology, health services research, and program leadership. She holds a Doctor of Public Health in Epidemiology from New York Medical College and has built a distinguished career that bridges research, clinical outcomes, and population health. Her progressive leadership roles at WIHD—including Director of Research and Chief Academic Officer and Co-UCEDD Director—demonstrate a strong track record of advancing organizational strategy, research innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Dr. Patrick brings deep expertise in developing and leading large-scale initiatives focused on improving health and quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her combination of executive leadership experience, robust research portfolio, and commitment to advancing equitable health outcomes for persons with developmental disabilities and vulnerable children positions her exceptionally well to serve as CEO of WIHD. Dr. Patrick will continue WIHD’s 75-year legacy defined by transformation, resilience, and unwavering commitment to equity and excellence. With WIHD’s relocation to a new, purpose-designed facility at 80 Grasslands Road, Dr. Patrick will lead WIHD forward ensuring WIHD’s capacity to expand services, deepen community impact, and secure long-term sustainability.
