The 2025 Extraordinary Service Awards recognize staff members who have made outstanding contributions to the College of Education & Human Development through their dedication, initiative, achievements, enthusiasm and attitude in their work. Nominations are submitted by faculty or staff in the College of Education and Human Development.
Robin Miller has exemplified extraordinary service by stepping up to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Center on Disability and Development, ensuring seamless continuity across all of the CDD projects. In a time of transition, Robin took on leadership responsibliities well byond her role, maintaining the Center's mission and operations while fostering a positive solutions-based environment for staff, faculty, and stakeholders.
Through her leadership, Robin has not only maintained but enhanced the Center's capacity to serve Texas educators, students, and families, sustaining a positive reputation for excellence and service in transition education and disability support.
Robin has been with the CDD for three years. She has worked in the disability field for her entire career, earning her master's degree in gerontology from Baylor University and providing community-based services to older adults with disabilities in Waco and the surrounding area for a decade. She transitioned to public education, serving as an autism specialist, assistive technology specialist, and special education program coordinator in Bryan and College Station ISDs. Her work at the CDD focuses primarily on improving employment outcomes and increasing community engagement for students with disabilities.
