Call for Applications: Postdoctoral Fellowship in IDD Employment Research

October 16, 2025

The Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) at UMass Boston, in partnership with the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development (SGISD) and the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS), has launched a new 3-year postdoctoral fellowship program focused on intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) employment research.

The Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training (ARRT) program is now accepting applications for two postdoctoral fellows to begin in the spring of 2026. This 12-month fellowship offers advanced, multidisciplinary training designed to prepare the next generation of researchers and leaders committed to improving employment outcomes for people with IDD.

The program aims to strengthen research that advances representation, inclusion, and impact across the IDD employment field.

Researchers with backgrounds in rehabilitation, education, social sciences, public health, public policy, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Learn more about the ARRT Program, and apply by November 30, 2025
