This presentation offers a critical case study on the intersection of healthcare policy and clinical implementation, focusing on the emerging framework of neuroaffirming behavioral science. Attendees will explore how current policy mechanisms—specifically rigid billing structures and insurance mandates—actively shape clinical practice patterns. The discussion will highlight the friction between these systemic requirements and the field's necessary shift toward prioritizing client autonomy, assent, and robust environmental supports.
