In addition to her role as Supervisor of Audiology at Westchester Institute for Human Development and Westchester Medical Center Cochlear Implant Center, Dr. D’Auria serves as an assistant professor/adjunct lecturer at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center’s academic affiliate, and Iona University. Dr. D’Auria also acts as Clinical Supervisor to both fellows and graduate students from accredited institutions across the country.
Dr. D’Auria has served as a presenter for the American Speech Language Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Audiology conference which was held in 2022. Along with her colleagues, she delivered two insightful presentations; Cochlear Implant Trends and Cochlear Implant Candidacy and Indications for Asymmetric Hearing Loss and Single Sided Deafness. She also sat on the expert’s panel holding live sessions allowing for a more detailed look into case studies as well as a “Q & A” section with participants. In recognition of exceptional commitment to lifelong learning, Dr. D’Auria was granted the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) by ASHA’s Continuing Education Board (CEB).
Dr. D’Auria’s areas of interest include electrophysiologic assessment of hearing, early identification of hearing loss, pediatric hearing aids and cochlear implants and single sided deafness/asymmetric hearing loss. Dr. D'Auria has extensive experience working with children and adults with developmental delays.
Dr. D'Auria received her doctoral degree in audiology from Salus University School of Audiology, and her Master’s degree from Hunter College. She graduated summa cum laude from Iona University with her bachelor of arts degree. Dr. D’Auria completed her externship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and her clinical fellowship year at Head & Neck Surgical Group in New York City, NY.
