Jennifer Sanchez, M. Ed

Jennifer Sanchez has over 12 years of experience in the field of Early Intervention (EI). Mrs. Sanchez began her time in EI as a Service Coordinator and later in a supervisory position, she has had the opportunity to gain insight in this field from both perspectives. Currently, she works as a part of the EI Training and Technical Assistance Team at the Paul V. Sherlock Center on Disabilities at Rhode Island College, RI’s UCEDD. As a part of this team, Jenn is responsible for researching, creating, and implementing professional development trainings for Early Intervention staff throughout the state of RI.For the past five years, Jennifer has also served as Rhode Island’s Ambassador for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Learn the Signs. Act Early. program. Through this initiative, she promotes developmental monitoring and early identification by empowering families, caregivers, and professionals to recognize and celebrate developmental milestones, communicate developmental progress with healthcare providers, and take timely action when concerns arise. Her professional passions include early identification and intervention for young children with developmental delays and Autism, as well as the Deaf and hard of hearing community. She actively participates in monthly Communities of Practice with Rhode Island’s Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program, collaborating with community partners to strengthen coordinated services, promote inclusive practices, and improve outcomes for children who are Deaf or hard of hearing and their families.
