Nova McGiffert, B.A.

Nova McGiffert (she/her) is the Healthy Sexuality Project Coordinator under the Health Equity Team at the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University. She creates affirming and inclusive programming on topics that include consent, sexual health, gender and sexuality, violence prevention, and safer sex practices. In addition, Nova disseminates resources and information on healthy sexuality for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, care teams, families, and providers across Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on building leadership and strengthening networks. Nova’s background in disability communities spans from providing direct care, supports coordination at Philadephia's Center for Independent Living, education, and advocacy.
