Tyler Hicks, Ph.D.

Dr. Tyler Hicks received his Ph.D. in Education at the University of South Florida in 2015, with a double concentration in Quantitative Methods and Special Education. He has been Director of Quantiative Research at the Kansas University Center of Developmental Disabilities (KUCDD) since 2019 and has served as project statistician on a number of funded projects. As an Assistant Research Professor at KU, Dr. Hicks is responsible for assisting investigators affliliated with KUCDD in the design and implementation of analytic techniques needed to attract funders and advance their research. His main expertise focuses on Bayesian approaches to modeling data with reduced sample sizes. He is fluent in SAS and, on occassion, dabbles in R and Mplus. His scholarship has been published in Educational Researcher, American Journal of Evaluation, and Remedial and Special Education.
