        Project Description:
Vanderbilt Kennedy Center's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VKC UCEDD) has partnered with Tennessee's Department of Disability and Aging (TN DDA) to conduct a statewide evaluation of the training and support needs of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and agencies serving adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and complex behavioral needs. VKC UCEDD held focus groups across Tennessee and distributed an electronic survey (feedback from DSPs, agency administrators, caregivers, and persons supported). VKC UCEDD then analyzed and compiled a report from the findings of the community evaluation including recommendations for methods and activities TN DDA should consider increasing support, knowledge, and skills for DSPs and agency administrators.
