Fiscal Year:
2025
Contact Information:
Project Description:
Enhanced Epidemiologic Research Using Existing SEED Data and Follow-up Surveys of Existing SEED Participants To conduct analyses of existing SEED data and follow-up surveys of participants from SEED Phases 1, 2, and 3 to: 1. Address current research gaps, and publish findings related to risk factors for ASD and the characteristics and needs of children with ASD; and 2. Support the implementation of follow-up surveys in collaboration with CDC from an existing list of SEED participants in SEED 1-3. Families will be contacted to answer questions about genetic, prenatal, early-life and family factors that contribute to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The study will also look at differences and similarities in the behaviors, abilities, and health of young children with ASD. It will also provide insights into the experiences of adolescents with ASD as they mature through adolescence and into adulthood. The grant for Component A will run from July 2021 – June 2026.
