Effective Behavioral Interventions (EBI)
Project Description:
Effective Behavioral Interventions (EBI) is an evidence-based intervention program providing a variety of services. EBI is a fee-for-service program offered statewide to state, community providers, hospitals and school districts who have individuals at-risk of being placed in a more restrictive setting outside of their community due to highly aggressive or dangerous behaviors toward self or others. Services are handled through a referral process where an individual is referred by one of the groups listed above, is over 4 years of age, and often experiences 2 or more co-occurring disabilities. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides both direct clinical services (behavior assessment, behavior plan development, training, data collection and analysis, etc.) while also leading, training and providing technical assistance to team and family members. BCBAs employ a person-centered approach and emphasize the acquisition of new skills that will lead to greater inclusion in the community and expansion of social networks.
EBI also provides case file reviews, staff training, and the provision of applied behavior analytic services to children and families within the Indian Health Services (IHS) served by Southcentral Foundation (SCF).
