Project Description:
The purpose of Interdisciplinary Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) is to train 16 Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education (EI/ECSE) students at the University of Oregon to increase equity in the delivery of services to children of Color and those who speak languages or language varieties other than or in addition to standard American English from birth through age 5 with disabilities. We aim to increase diversity in providers delivering EI/ECSE services who are highly qualified to implement evidence-based practices and improve the outcomes of marginalized populations.
