First Steps Unified Training System

Project Description:

The Early Childhood Center has been contracted to provide professional development for Indiana's Part C early intervention system. The goal is to provide up-to-date, research-informed information that aligns with the system's vision, mission, and current initiatives. Professional development work will include designing onboarding modules for new providers, coordinating an annual statewide conference, securing national-level speakers on relevant topics twice a year, and developing diverse topical training based on needs assessment data and delivered using universal design for learning approaches. Additionally, the ECC will coordinate the Interagency Coordinating Council and create a tiered technical assistance system to support professionals who may need additional support beyond universal professional development. This comprehensive system will bring accurate and consistent information to early intervention providers statewide.
