Project Description:
Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands (EPLY-NCA) will conduct an accessibility systems analysis and assessment, develop employee accessibility training, and provide a final report with findings and recommendations. The accessibility analysis will include remote discussions with USFS stakeholders and community disability stakeholders, review of ArcGIS Online - Forest Service Accessibility Database (AGOL-FSAD) usability and will result in findings and considerations to improve usability and consistency. Using AGOL-FSAD, the on-site accessibility assessment will generally include physical and programmatic review of several visitor experiences within Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, Medford, Oregon: review of site-specific publications, trail maps, and website content. The employee accessibility training development will include a learning needs analysis, discussions with USFS stakeholders, instructional design, and a pilot on-site and online accessibility training
experience, as determined collaboratively with USFS.
The training will include topics of interest to accessibility coordinators, such as physical and programmatic assessment methods, interpretive services and media, incorporation of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into accessible RHVR program planning and implementation practices, along with additional disability-related topics, and consistent with Executive Order 13985. EPLY-NCA will offer the remote accessibility analysis, on-site accessibility assessment, accessibility training, and a final report with findings and recommendations as outlined in the following work statement.
