Project Description:
The aim of the proposed Indiana First Steps Professional Development contract is to support future sustainability on their use of family-guided routines-based intervention (FGRBI) and Caregiver Coaching. This will be accomplished by collaborating with the First Steps State Leadership Team and the Indiana University Training and Technical Assistance team to provide evidence based professional development that will establish the use of interdisciplinary recommended practices for early intervention, to develop a local work force of providers who coach families, and to initiate the development of peer coaches able to provide professional development (PD) and coaching within their regions with fidelity as the state moves forward with a plan for sustainability of the practices over time. The proposed extension will enable the continuation of technology supports to participant EIs, continued access to TORSH, and the FGRBI modules for 100 participants. Support will also be provided for workflow updates and team communications as needed. FSU will export data from the FGRBI modules to provide enrollment and completion data. The extension will also include monthly coaching supports for coaches Hargreaves, O'Neill and Burkhard.
