Effective Behavioral Interventions (EBI)
Project Description:
Evidence-based Intervention Program, previously referred to as the Complex Behavior Collaboration (CBC) is a fee-for-service program offered statewide to the state and community provider agencies who have individuals who are at-risk of losing their community placements due to highly aggressive or dangerous behaviors toward self or others. The individual is referred by a community agency, is over 6 years of age, and often experiences 2 or more co-occurring disabilities. The credentialed Behavior Specialist providers both direct clinical services (assessment, plan development, data collection and analysis, etc.) while also leading, training and providing technical assistance to team and family members. These staff employ a person-centered approach, and emphasize the acquisition of new skills that will lead to greater inclusion in the community and expansion of social networks.
