Oregon Statewide Screening Project

Center:
Fiscal Year:
2023
Contact Information:
Project Description:
Description of the project The Oregon Screening project website will be available in both English and Spanish languages. Oregon Parents of young children will use the site to complete 2 questionnaires about a child's development and will receive their child's results of screening measures completed, plus play activities to help with continued learning at home. Content on the site should be informative and very parent / user friendly. The process of completing the developmental screening helps parents learn if their child's development is taking place as expected for their age - or - if further evaluation is needed. All resources to help parents connect to services (if needed) are available on the site. The target users are parents of young children ages 1 month up to 6 years old. Sometimes older family members, caregivers or childcare professionals may also use the site. The current translation of Spanish text contains some original text adapted from English - and - contains text from Google Translate that mixed in. As a result, the text may not be accurate, and/or may not be written in a way that is easy for parents/users to understand. The translation of Spanish text used in the labels for action buttons, section headers and page titles on the website may need to be corrected to reflect common terms used in Spanish language websites.
