Project Description:
The fundamental objective of the Sonoran UCEDD Interdisciplinary Training Program is to prepare students from a variety of disciplines to become leaders and advocates in the disability field with an understanding of principles of self-determination and meaningful community inclusion for all people with disabilities. All trainees participate in core activities regardless of their program, such as annual professional roles seminar and annual trainee symposium. In addition to the specific structured programs, we engage students in UCEDD projects as research assistants and interns, as well as provide courses, guest lectures and professional development to students.
