Project Description:
In order to adapt to the new normal brought about by COVID‐19 and to ensure the health and safety of those who work with the most vulnerable individuals within our communities, we are providing all trainings online in synchronous, asynchronous, and self‐paced options along with structured and informal technical assistance available via phone, email, and video conference options. See below for the format, frequency, and intended audience for each of the trainings available to families and professionals in Indiana. 1. Develop new and/or revise existing web‐based education/training modules for Vocational Rehabilitation staff within the Vocational Rehabilitation Leadership Academy: 2 new or revised modules per quarter (total of 8 per year or 16 for two‐year contract period). 2. Develop and conduct topical training sessions focused on effective strategies for supporting individuals working at sub‐minimum wage employment who are transitioning to competitive, integrated employment; effective strategies for improving service provision and employment outcomes for individuals with mental illness; or other topics outlined in the scope of work and supplemental attachments, or as needed by VR. Develop 6‐9 topical trainings per year to be made available online a minimum of 2 times per topic per year and carried out through webinars or other online instructional formats (total 12‐18 topical trainings over the two‐year contract period). These topical trainings may be made available in a face to face training format should health and safety precautions permit us to do so. 3. Submit draft training curriculum for VR Case Coordinators within 4 months of contract execution. 4. Arrange a two‐day, bi‐annual statewide training event for all VR staff (approximately 300 staff) in conjunction with the statewide Transition Conference to be hosted by CCLC in July 2021.
