FL Keys National Marine Sanctuary Boater Education Program
Project Description:
The course hosting, maintenance, and revision process is a proprietary
combination of software and server systems that is supported by the Eppley
Institute. When the client utilizes the Institutes hosting and maintenance
services, a specific annual level of service is selected.
For the period October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021, the Eppley
Institute will support the two FKNMS Boater Education Program e-courses
at Level 2.
Goal and ObjectivesThe overall goal of this project is is to develop a state-of-the-art, accessible, online boater-education program for boaters in the FKNMS marine waters.The objectives for the FKNMS Boater Education are: Increasing boaters understanding of the challenges of navigating Sanctuary waters and the importance of its marine resources; Providing knowledge of laws, regulations and policies that affect marine resources and visitor use of these resources; and Engaging users through interactive online learning that promotes content retention.
