Project Description:
Partner with Maine Roads to Quality (Maines Statewide Professional Development
Network, University of Southern Maine) to revise and pilot its Environments and
Inclusion training in three public school cohorts across the state for the MDOE.
Objectives include: 1. Support the revision and delivery of the 30-hour Environments and Inclusion curricula and pilot on-line in three regions of the state which reflect rural and urban populations. 2. Require special education directors, preschool and special education teachers to participate as teams. 3. Provide monthly follow up through a supported community of practice (COP) from Maine Roads to Quality consultants. 4. Incentivize participation with mini-grants for
materials and equipment to support inclusion.
