Cultural and Linguistic Embedding Consultation with NCCC
Project Description:
Collaborate with the GUCEDD faculty to implement a three-tiered implementation project including specific responsibilities/tasks as assigned.
1. Provide training to UCEDDs via distance technology on how to use the vetting criteria to assess curricula and training activities.
2. Provide technical assistance via distance technology on how to use the Embedding resources to create new or adapt existing curricula and training activities.
3. Provide onsite consultation to UCEDDs including but not limited to faculty development focused on: a) application of conceptual frameworks for cultural and linguistic competence in University settings; b) individual behavioral and organizational change theory and practices to implement cultural and linguistic competence; c) addressing barriers to cultural diversity and cultural and linguistic competence (e.g., racism, stereotyping, conscious and unconscious biases, disproportionality and disparities).
Milestone: All onsite consultations (4 in total) conducted for UCEDDs will be determined and assigned by the GUCEDD Embedding Project Director. The selected project partner will participate in planning activities including conference calls and email exchanges; and submit travel reports and contribute to final reports to the UCEDD 30 days after the onsite consultation.
4. Perform all assigned project training, consultation, and technical assistance tasks in a timely manner.
5. Collect and document data on project activities for required reports to AIDD and for submission to the National Information Reporting System (NIRS).
6. Participate in project management team meetings.
7. Communicate with GUCEDD Project PI or other faculty via email and conference call as required.
