2018

Project Description:
LEND and DBP training programs should be continually seeking ways to strengthen their interdisciplinary leadership training to achieve desired outcomes for the future MCH workforce and children with disabilities. This includes the ongoing identification of priorities for program improvement and the development / implementation of creative approaches to address them. Based on the most recent non-competing continuation (NCC) applications, the following four priority technical assistance needs have been identified for LEND and DBP training programs: (1) Increasing trainee and faculty diversity (2) Demonstrating program impact through data collection and analysis (3) Incorporating / expanding the use of technology in training (4) Providing statewide technical assistance and/or short-term training The Interdisciplinary Technical Assistance Center on Autism and Developmental Disabilities (ITAC) is seeking programs with creative solutions to these priority technical assistance needs who can demonstrate progress over an academic year and share successful strategies with the LEND and DBP networks. It is our hope that programs implementing successful FAST projects will serve as leaders for the LEND and DBP networks in addressing these areas of need. The products and outcomes of selected projects will be shared with network members as resources and templates for peer programs use.
