Project Description:
Funding will be utilized to conduct two Neurological Birth Defects Care Symposiums in the Western Region of the State. These Symposiums will bring together community pediatricians, local health department clinic and care coordination staff, FQHC staff, Tennessee Early Intervention System providers, and other community service providers to increase their knowledge of best practices for coordination and care of infants born with neurological birth defects. Funding will also be utilized to develop, implement, & evaluate a 10-wk minifellowship CME programs for three community pediatric health care providers to help them gain knowledge and skills related to neurological birth defects yearly, advanced developmental screening & diagnostic trainings for community physicians, TDH facility partners, pediatric residents, and/or relevant Part C staff who target rural and underserved communities.
