Center:
Fiscal Year:
2017
Contact Information:
Project Description:
This project responds to the National Institute of Mental Healths solicitation for research to improve the understanding of psychopathology among individuals with intellectual disabilities. The investigation will take an important step toward addressing this need for research by developing and validating a comprehensive diagnostic interview schedule for assessing psychopathology among adolescents and young adults with intellectual disabilities. If the aims of the project are met, the diagnostic instrument would facilitate the earlier identification of mental disorders in persons with intellectual disabilities in order to meet their mental health needs.
