Project Description:
During the fellow's third year in the fellowship program, he/she serves as a preceptor and consultant in the residency primary care programs at Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital/Gardner Health Systems. In this setting, fellows teach the residents during and after clinical encounters, using the case-based material as the springboard to teaching about developmental-behavioral pediatrics and related topics. Fellows also provide an introductory lecture on Introduction to Child Development to medical students beginning their pediatrics rotation. Fellows will provide consultation to primary care regarding developmental screening, early identification, and management of children with disabilities and other chronic health concerns
