Health Care Professional Training Project
Project Description:
The Sonoran University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service (UCEDD) will educate and train health sciences students, residents and other health care professionals in how to provide competent health care in partnership with individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families. The Sonoran UCEDD has identified the development of systems of competent health care for people with DD as an important goal. To achieve that goal, pre-service training of health care professionals is crucial. Activities to be carried out under the project include: Yearly Interprofessional Conference on Disability and infusion of additional curriculum on DD at the College of Medicine
