Project Description:
The team synthesized current research on social emotional development and approaches to play and learning. This information is used to inform the process for developing new standards Guidelines are developed that connects the Standards with topics such as family engagement, inclusion of children with disabilities, Universal Design for Learning, accommodations for diverse learners, dual language learners, intentional curriculum and instructional practices, assessment practices, and use of formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction. Both documents will be translated into Spanish, Portugese, Chinese and Haitian Creole.
