Conner Training Consortium
Project Description:
The Iowa Conner Training Consortium's mission is to promote, through training, education, and technical assistance, a system of individualized supports that will assist Iowans with disabilities to live as fully participating members of their communities. The Training project funds Community Living Transition Grants. Awarded annually, these grants fund the placement of Glenwood and Woodward Resource Center residents into community-based settings. Staff works with Money Follows the Person transition specialists to determine services and supports to be funded. The Consortium publishes Possibilities, a quarterly newsletter describing the successful transitions of Money Follows the Person participants and featuring listings from the Disability Resource Library. It also publicizes the latest disability-related activities through its website: www.disabilitytraining.org
