Project Description:
The Early Childhood Center performs therapeutic intervention for toddlers and preschool age children with developmental delays and disabilities and associated behavioral difficulties. Children receive developmental therapy, psychotherapeutic supports and/or behavioral interventions individually, in groups, and in sessions with their parents or caregivers. Parent groups enhance the guidance, support, information, and advocacy offered to families. Developmental and psychotherapeutic supports are provided to young children in foster care, and guidance is provided to foster parents and child welfare personnel to support children’s progress and adjustment. An Infant Mental Health Program provides therapeutic services to infants with developmental and emotional/behavioral problems, and preventive services for infants who are at risk due to problems in their caregiving environments. All services are available in English and Spanish.
