Project Description:
Nevada Path to Independence Project is a two-year non-degree certificate program for students with intellectual/developmental disabilities at UNR. It is a collaboration of the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities and Extended Studies at UNR, with support from Vocational Rehabilitation and Sierra Regional Center. In order to achieve outcomes of employment and independence, the project is structured into three areas: Academics & Campus Activities, Employment, and Independent Living.
The pilot program, with two students, begins fall semester 2013.
