Project Description:
This is a statewide program that covers the areas of training, services, and information dissemination. In-service trainings, on-site consultations, as well as technical assistance are available through educational strategists. A unique training approach designed for public school district personnel involves didactic sessions combined with on-site consultation to enhance teachers? skills in the classroom. Interdisciplinary diagnostic services are available both on the eastern side of the state and the western side of the state. A follow-up on-site consultation is built into the cost of the diagnostic evaluation for those individuals who qualify.
A vast array of resources is disseminated through this program. This includes a FASD Newsletter; FAS Handbook; FASD Education Strategy Handbook; DVDs, books, curriculums, videos, etc. are available for no cost through a check-out system at the Wegner Health Science Information Center of which the Center for Disabilities is a partner. In addition to the website, the program also supports Facebook, Twitter, and You Tube sites.
