Direct Care Worker Curriculum Review

Project Description:

The Sonoran UCEDD received a contract to review the Principles of Caregiving curriculum (the AZ direct care worker training and testing program) which includes the following components: I. Caregiving Fundamentals 2011 II. Aging/Physical Disabilities Module 2011 III. Developmental Disabilities Module 2011, including Facilitator Guides IV. Skills Workbook, including notes for the instructor>br> V. Competencies for these modules VI. Standardized tests for these modules The work comprises the following: 1. Reviewing the curriculum and proposing revisions to make sure it is sufficient to address the competencies of Direct Care Workers. 2. Reviewing the standardized written tests and proposing revisions to make sure they are sufficient to test the competencies of Direct Care Workers. 3. Reviewing the curriculum and proposing revisions to ensure there is consistency with language, terms, format, and so forth. 4. Create alternative tests.
