Post-secondary Opportunities
Project Description:
Partnering with the AZ DD Planning Council, the Sonoran UCEDD will assist in developing a post-secondary summit for education and disability stakeholders to explore options for creating post-secondary opportunities and plans in Arizona. Depending on the outcome of the summit, further activities may be planned in conjunction with DD Network partners to carry out a statewide plan. In addition, the Sonoran UCEDD will be collaborating with the University of Arizona College of Education on its high school transition/post-secondary project, Project FOCUS (funded through U.S. Department of Education Post-Secondary Grant) in providing person-centered planning training and helping to develop plans for youth considering college as part of the process.
