At a Glance - Vol. 7 No. 1 October 2007. Study VII: Competence and Confidence of Practioners Working with Children with Disabilities. This study assessed the level of compentence and confidence of personnel who provide services under Part C under IDEA of 2004. Part C providers from 45 states and territories completed an online survey created for this study. The survey focused on the following eight domains of competence and confidence: Family-Centered Practice; Assessment and Evaluation; IFSP Practices; Instructional Practices; Natural Learning Environment; Collaboration and Teaming; and Early Literacy Learning. Information from the interview was used to identify strengths and weaknesses in the selected domains.
