Product Description:

This Missouri Child Advocacy Center (CAC) evaluation plan is a response to a call from Missouri KidsFirst to investigate the outcomes of children who receive services from the CAC. The research team and Missouri KidsFirst are committed to advancing the child welfare field and practices that directly affect the children. As a part of this evaluation plan, UMKC-IHD hopes to identify Missouri CAC practices, the impacts of these practices, and the contributions that CAC components add to the roles of other professional disciplines and agencies that respond to child abuse. By studying the practices and their outcomes in Missouri, it is the goal of the research team to learn ways for CACs to accomplish these objectives: (1) Improve CAC services, (2) Reduce trauma and achieve desired outcomes for children, (3) Increase or maintain a high level of satisfaction of families, (4) Increase the rate of prosecution or con
