The Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University’s Work-Based Learning Project is proud to celebrate Veronica Quintana, Special Education Director at Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD, for receiving the prestigious Crystal Apple Award and being honored at the Texas A&M University College of Education and Human Development Dean’s Roundtable.

Veronica’s unwavering dedication to students with special needs, her visionary leadership, and her tireless advocacy for inclusive education have left an indelible mark on the PSJA community and beyond.

Under her guidance, PSJA’s Pathways to Independence has flourished—implementing innovative work-based learning programs, fostering a culture of equity and support, and ensuring that every student receives the resources and opportunities they deserve to thrive.  

Veronica’s recognition at the Dean’s Roundtable is a testament to her exceptional contributions to education, her commitment to excellence, and her passion for empowering others. She exemplifies the very best of what it means to be an educator and a leader.
