AUCD’s Public Health Team works to create health promotion and public health efforts that include people with disabilities.
AUCD Emerging Leaders are a part of a community that includes trainees, early career professionals, self-advocates, and family members from AUCD member Centers and Programs.
AUCD Emerging Leaders Community is a bi-monthly newsletter highlighting opportunities specifically to trainees and early career professionals in the AUCD Network. This newsletter provides the most up-to-date information on webinars, events, and open leadership roles. Current and former trainees, as well as Network Training Directors, are encouraged to subscribe.

The Emerging Leaders Spotlight section offers you a platform to showcase and celebrate your noteworthy achievements and impactful contributions within your community. As a Training Director or fellow trainee, you can also nominate someone! Whether it's through leadership initiatives, community service projects, or other meaningful endeavors, this spotlight allows you to provide a comprehensive and inspiring overview of the dedication and impact Emerging Leaders make within the AUCD Network.
2024 Disability Policy Seminar Orientation and Policy Education 101 Workshop
This workshop helped prepare trainees for the 2024 Disability Policy Seminar that took place earlier in April in Washington, DC, to learn how to educate policymakers in DC and at home, as well as how to connect their experience and expertise to policy.
