The Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND) and the Division of Communication Disorders in the College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Wyoming (UW) invites applications for the position of Assistant Lecturer, Speech-Language Pathologist

Essential Duties:  This position has a dual role to meet the needs that align with two separate CHS units. Wyoming Institute for Disabilities:  Provide training and technical assistance in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device assessment, implementation and evaluation to various professional audiences. In collaboration with colleagues, conduct and help manage AAC device loan, demonstration, and reuse activities of Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources (WATR), Wyoming's Assistive Technology Act program. Communication Disorders:  Supervise students in the evaluation and treatment of clients across the lifespan with various disorders in the UW Speech & Hearing Clinic. Clinical supervision includes planning, review and clinical supervisor meetings, session observations, guiding and grading student reports and maintaining responsibility for the welfare of clients. You may be called upon to provide direct service to clients in order to serve our larger educational mission.

Qualifications:  In order to be considered, applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, be ASHA-certified (CCC), be WY licensed or eligible for WY licensure, hold or be eligible to earn Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) credential within one year, and have at least three years' experience as a speech-language pathologist including augmentative and alternative communication experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience supervising graduate students in speech-language pathology, experience teaching or training, three years of experience providing AAC across multiple domains, and an interest in contributing to WIND's research activities. 

Salary:  This full time, 12-month, at-will and grant-funded faculty position, with a salary of $60,000 plus an excellent benefit package, is located in Laramie, Wyoming.
