The Waisman Center UCEDD, UW-Madison, is hiring a part-time (40-60%) Wisconsin Care Integration Initiative Coordinator.

The Waisman Center is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about human development, developmental disabilities, and neurodegenerative diseases throughout the lifespan. One of only 15 centers of its kind in the United States, the Waisman Center encompasses laboratories for biomedical and behavioral research, a brain imaging center, and a clinical bio-manufacturing facility for the production of pharmaceuticals for early stage human clinical trials. In addition to its research efforts, the Center provides an array of services to people with developmental disabilities, offers numerous educational and outreach programs to young children and their families, and trains scientists and clinicians who will serve our nation in the future.

This position will be within the Public Policy and Systems Change work unit, University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). The Wisconsin Care Integration Initiative (WICII) project aims to increase family-centered, integrated systems of care for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities (ASD/DD). WICII will demonstrate innovative strategies to address goals of the existing Wisconsin Act Early State Plan to enhance screening, referral for diagnostic and early intervention services, and timely enrollment in treatment services for children with ASD/DD, with a particular focus on building community-based capacity in urban and rural communities.

This position serves as the initial point of contact for community and national partners and will work alongside co-Prinicipal Investigators (PI's) to implement community quality improvement activities through trainings, orientations and providing technical assistance. This position is responsible for coordinating community engagement and project work plans.
