About the Center for Disabilities and Development; University of Iowa Children's Hospital:

The Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD) is dedicated to improving the health and independence of people with disabilities and creating a life with opportunities for everyone.  As a multi-disciplinary center of excellence, The CDD integrates a broad array of clinical services in one location, including developmental and behavioral pediatrics, nursing, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, psychology, social work, education, and audiology, and thus provides an ideal environment for patient care, education and research. People who come to our clinic often have complex needs which is why CDD uses a team approach, bringing together the right experts to help families find answers. At the heart of each team are the patient and family. 

The CDD is Iowa's University Center for Excellence on Disabilities and is also home for Iowa's LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) program, and has provided outstanding interdisciplinary training in neurodevelopmental disabilities for over two decades.

Manager, Clinical Psychology Position:

Provide clinical and managerial leadership in overseeing all aspects of the Center for Disabilities and Development's (CDD) Psychology Department. In addition this position will maintain a clinical caseload.  Management responsibilities include managing fiscal resources, serving as liaison with hospital and community partners, leading performance improvement initiatives, participating in the strategic planning process, and supervising staff members and managing staff training, competency and performance.  Opportunities available to participate in and/or lead research initiatives and oversee selected graduate and doctoral-level trainees and fellows. Salary offer begins at $82,000; with potential for higher salary commensurate with training and experience.  A comprehensive benefits package is provided and includes group life insurance; long-term disability; health, dental, vision and hearing insurance; liability protection; spending accounts for childcare and medical expenses; paid sick leave, vacation, and holidays; and employer-funded retirement program.
