The Virginia Institute of Autism (VIA), a non-profit organization located in Charlottesville, Virginia, is dedicated to helping people overcome the challenges of autism through innovative, evidence-based programs in education, outreach and adult services. Through the James C. Hormel School, Outpatient Behavioral Services and the VIA Academy programs, we meet individuals' needs, no matter their age or where they fall on the spectrum. Whether we are teaching a child to communicate, giving a teenager the social skills to make a friend for the first time, or helping an adult live, work and play as an active part of the community, our staff dedicates their passion and energy to improving the lives of people with autism.

VIA has an immediate opening for a full-time Training Manager. The overall role of the Training Manager is to support the development in the knowledge of applied behavior analytic principles for VIA staff and assist them in their efforts to achieve the best possible outcomes for the students served. The Training Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a variety of trainings to assure quality programming and instruction across all departments.

Qualifications include bachelor's degree in special education, psychology or related field; Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst; valid Virginia license in Behavior Analysis; extensive knowledge and skills in Applied Behavior Analysis and evidence-based strategies for learners with autism and other developmental disabilities; solid knowledge of the behavioral, cognitive, educational, vocational, social, communication and functional skills/adaptive behavior challenges in individuals with developmental disabilities.
